At the beach

We spent the good part of the day at the beach with friends. Sage is still not excited about being there but she at least ventured out into the sand today. I found that the secret is to put her water shoes on. She didn't like it, but she didn't cry which is an improvement.

The photo that shows the ocean didn't come out as well as hoped but if you look close you can see three small people out there to the right. That is Dana and three of his buddies. The beach we were at had a small island (which is the land you can see) that you can actually walk out to. There are lots of rocks and such so you definitely need water shoes. With the waves and uneven ocean bottom it was quite a feat to go out there. Once the men folk returned all the wives got to go. The island is a wild bird refuge so you can only walk around the very edge.
