Hawaii

We made it to Hawaii on Thursday! The traveling went really, really well. We had a super short flight out of Medford (where Dana's momma is) to Portland and then a 6 hour flight to Oahu. Sage did well considering. She slept the first two hours and we managed to keep her occupied till the end. They even gave us a few complimentary Mai Tais during the last hour of the trip. Rum definitely seems to make toddlers feel less stressful.
After landing in Honolulu we were picked up by a fellow from Dana's new unit. He was extremely nice and also took us to the port where Dana's car (that we had shipped early December)was waiting for us. It is GREAT to have a car and not have to rent one. We checked into the hotel on post and were exhausted. After a short trip to the commissary to get a few essentials we ended up ordering pizza and calling it a night.
Yesterday we ran around for a few hours looking at houses and then had a late lunch on the beach at Waikiki. It was an open air restaurant right on the beach so there we're birds walking around on the floor. Sage kept dropping French fries and then screaming "MINE" every time a bird grabbed it from under her chair.
No photos. Sorry! I haven't figured out how to get them off of my iPad and onto the blog. I will keep working on it!
