Couch To 5K

I HATE jogging on the treadmill.
Seriously, all I do is watch that stupid clock and pray it starts going double time.
I hate being on the treadmill so much that I had Dana buy me a treadmill over a year ago just to guilt me into using it. I didn't want it but I figured if we paid money for it then I'd have to use it.
See my logic?
Luckily, I got pregnant and I had a nifty pass on that whole treadmill thing for a good 10+ months.
I don't know what my deal with treadmills are, but I do know that I need to get back down to the weight I was before I got pregnant.
I had this brilliant idea back then to throw out all my "fat girl" clothes after I lost the weight just so that I wouldn't be able to gain weight again. Can't go around naked right??
So yes, I only have about two pair of jeans that fit at this point.
Plus the jeans I stole from my mom-which Dana has named my "mom jeans" if that gives you any indication what they look like.
*Hence the need to jump on the treadmill*
Soooo....I've started the "Couch to 5K" program.
Today was the start of Week 1. It was fairly easy. I probably could have started on Week 2 but goodness knows I'm going to make Week 1 last as long as possible...
CT5K is basically an 8 week program that is supposed to take you from couch potato to 5K runner.
Here is a link that gives you the breakdown of each week CT5K

I'll let you know how it goes.
I've got nothing else to do out here in Missouri :-)

  1. You're not the only one so don't feel bad. We don't have a treadmill but we do have a brand new elipitical that's only been used about 3 times. I don't have weight to lose but i've always enjoyed the feeling exercising brings once the blues and procrastinating passes. I have had asthma since a kid and it also makes it much easier to manage when your lungs are used more :) my problem is accountability...no one calls or knocks on my door to see if i've exercised for the day....lol thank goodness maybe they'd be very disappointed each day......
