Weird things in Missouri

As most of you know, Sage and I have been banished moved to the middle-of-nowhere Missouri.
Thank you Army.
It's temporary, thank goodness.
But there is weird stuff here ya'll. Really weird.
I took Sage to the library today so that she could participate (aka watch everyone else) in their children's story time.  She's been accustomed to being around other people and children so now that it's just her and I it seems that I need to find her some stuff to do. She starts to get weird after a few days of sitting around the house...
On the way to the library (which is only about 3 miles away from our apartment) I came across this sign

I thought, "Hmmm....that's weird. Maybe some rare species of some sort of Missouri Mountain Frog lives here...." And then I saw this lovely creature right there on the rock face.................................................

Where in the world am I?

  1. Ha, so awesome. I'm a relatively new follower, also from the Midwest. I live in Florida now, but was raised in Kansas. Stuff is just a smidgen different there, huh? :-)

  2. Emmm, you have discovered the long lost secret entrance to Hatie, marked only by the frog people of Atlantis, The pass word is (FEELING FROGGY), state this three times and bite the head off a local frog while playing Kiss's greatest hits.
